Set macros, as in set amounts of grams of each? I see a lot of people doing this, but I burn so many more calories on my training days versus my rest days I thought I should adjust accordingly. My last DEXA scan was on August 5th, 2021, and it reported the following: 18.8% Tissue fat, 234.8 lbs total mass, 227.3 tissue lbs, 42.8 lbs of fat, 184.5 lean lbs, 192.1 lbs of fat free mass. I'll probably just stick to this ratio and cut down on saturated fats and switch to more unsaturated where I can. When I count calories, I usually shoot for 25% protein, 50% carbs, 25% fat (calorie percentace), but this is without food restriction. As far as macros I'm not changing them much. I want to go slow so I lose as little muscle mass as possible. Been a powerlifter for years, but have never attempted to actually get lean and look good. most of this is going to come down to research, and possibly a convo with them. if theyre popular coaches, find them on podcasts and listen to them. if you have 0 interest in drugs, you probably dont need to bother with using someone like alex kikel (not that he doesnt/cant coach nattys, but he does have a niche). for example, if you hate carb cycling, justin harris probably isnt a great pick. look if their content aligns with your goals, look to find their philosophies on things and see if that jives with you or if its not something youd be interested in. some you can find cheaper of course, just depends on the level your trying to work with.Īlso, any resources to find a good one that aligns with my goals? ![]() Believe what people say at your own risk.ĭepends, a lot of good coaches i see charge around 400$ a month, and some it depends on if your in prep or not.
